As we approach our first real snowfall of the season, we need to pay attention to the important role our tires play in our safety.  Tires on any vehicle, SUV, Truck or car, make the difference of us staying on the road and not getting stuck in a precarious position.  Its never any fun driving a vehicle that slips and slides and is a handful in the snow and slush.  do you really need a 4 wheel drive in CNY to get through the winter?  No.  But you do need a good  set of tires - either snow tires or an aggressive all season tire.   Snow tires on any two wheel  or front wheel drive will make the difference of slipping and sliding and spinning your tires.  Any 4 wheel drive that is equiped with a good all season radial will perform acceptible in all weather conditions.

       We have had customers that could barely get going in the winter months that put a set of snow tires on and it was like they were driving a new vehicle.  One recent customer that has a fleet of 2 wheel drive vans switched over to an aggressive snow tire.  Now they can get to their job sites in the snow and mud and his employees dont get stuck.  Improving traction is the key to starting and stopping in adverse weather conditions.
